As managing member of KMI, I understand the day-to-day issues business owners face.
I am involved in operations as well as strategic planning for the firm. I joined KMI, PLC to participate in a growing professional organization with a long-standing and high degree of professional credibility.

The public accounting profession has provided me an environment where I can work with businesses and individuals to solve problems involving complex income tax and operational issues.

I strongly support organizations devoted to assisting developmentally disabled adults and children, especially scouting programs that support this community. A little-known fact: I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
In addition, I strongly support Six Rivers Land Conservancy and other local organizations that provide stewardship and protection of vital land and water resources. Such organizations serve to balance land development with the natural attributes which enhance the value and quality of our local communities.

What I do:
I’m KMI’s Firm Administrator and I help keep the firm running smoothly. While I do a lot of administrative work, I also assist my coworkers in various client-related projects.
I enjoy my work because:
I enjoy working at KMI because I’m able to learn many different aspects of the business. Since it is a smaller firm, I’ve worked on projects in various areas ranging from accounting, to marketing to administrative. Had I chosen to work for a large company, I know I would not be able to gain all that exposure.
About me:
I enjoy just about any activity where I can be active. I grew up dancing and playing soccer, so I do what I can to stay in shape. I also try to participate in a couple different 5k and 10k’s throughout each year. However, if I’m not feeling quite so motivated, I really enjoy watching shows and movies on Netflix or Hulu.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Central Michigan University.

MORE ABOUT WANDA
What I do:
My main areas of concentration here at KMI include bookkeeping functions for our clients’ needs in payroll processing, payroll and sales tax returns and payment processing. I also handle workers comp insurance audits and other HR activities.
Throughout my 30+ years of bookkeeping experience in a wide range of business types from retail, service, construction, and most recently, the disaster recovery industry, I have gained valuable knowledge to assist our clients in many areas. I have also been a business owner throughout several of those years, which allows me to have the unique ability of seeing the client’s challenges through their eyes, so to speak.
Some of my colleagues reach out to me with questions about QuickBooks transactions since that’s also a big part of my background, as well as other industry specific software. It’s very rewarding to help in any area where there is a need, especially at KMI where it truly feels like family with both staff members and clients.
About me:
I am a very patriotic, family-oriented person who loves to cook! Being in my kitchen is almost like meditation for me. In my spare time I like to tend to my plants, reading and bike riding – not to mention spoiling my little Westie who is always at my feet wherever I go.
